Scenic River
The Vrooman Road Bridge sits over the Grand River, which is a State designated “Wild and Scenic River.” The portion of the river under the bridge is designated as a “wild” river. Proposed improvements of the bridge will be developed to minimize impacts to the river.
Cultural Resources
Investigation and documentation of archeological sites within the projects limits will be completed prior to the project.
Wetlands
Identified wetlands will be avoided where possible and mitigation measures will be enacted as necessary.
Other Environmental Factors
Several public comments have been received that noted concerns with noise, alignments, safety and other issues. All of these and more are being fully researched and investigated. As additional documentation is developed to address these concerns updated information will be made available.
