New!  Lesson Guides for Grades K-8
Teachers and students will love these ready-made lessons.  Fun experiments, shoe design projects and more - all aligned with Ohio's Academic Standards.  Safety education has never been more teacher-friendly or student interactive.  Kids learn traffic rules to improve school safety.

Reduce roadway fatalities by 5% by 2015 – Save 150 lives.
Ohio has a lofty goal. Save lives. In 2010, there were nearly 300,000 traffic crashes across Ohio with more than 1,080 deaths and 10,000 serious injuries. Many crashes can be prevented through better safety awareness and safe-driving practices.

Engineering for road safety
While ODOT and city and county engineers are working to design and build roads safer, we invite you to join us in making safety a priority. By staying alert, wearing your helmet or seat belt and knowing the rules of the road, you can help reduce deaths and injuries.
