Safety is Top Priority at the Ohio Department of Transportation Whether Ohioans are traveling by heels or wheels, ODOT wants you to get to your destination safely. That’s why ODOT has launched a statewide grassroots safety campaign called Every Move You Make, Keep It Safe.

Ohio has a lofty goal. Save lives. In 2010, there were nearly 300,000 traffic crashes across Ohio with more than 1,080 deaths and 10,000 serious injuries. Many crashes can be prevented through better safety awareness and safe-driving practices.

While ODOT and city and county engineers are working to design and build roads safer, we invite you to join us in making safety a priority. By staying alert, wearing your helmet or seat belt and knowing the rules of the road, you can help reduce deaths and injuries.
