Steve Bergstresser, P.E.
Steve Bergstresser is the Assistant City Manager and City Engineer for the City of Kettering. He has over 15 years of diversified municipal engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. Upon graduation from the University of Dayton in 2001, he spent two years working for the URS Corporation in Cincinnati, designing projects for various State, County, and Municipal clients in southwest Ohio. He began his career with the City of Kettering in 2003 as a staff engineer; was promoted to the position of City Engineer in 2006; and in 2014 accepted the position of Assistant City Manager while retaining the position of City Engineer.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and a Master of Public Administration degree, both from the University of Dayton, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. He is a member of the International City/County Management Association, the Ohio City/County Management Association, the American Public Works Association, and is a Past President of the Dayton Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
