Terry D. Lively, P.S., P.E.
Terry has worked for the City of Marion since 2007, first as the Assistant City Engineer, later as interim City Engineer, and currently as the City Engineer. Prior to his time in Marion, he worked for over ten years as an Assistant and Deputy Engineer for the City of Delaware. He is a 1985 graduate of Stark Technical College with an Associate’s degree in Civil Construction, and is a 1992 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. While a college intern at Burgess & Niple, Ltd., Terry led the first team to perform detailed night surveys of ODOT suspension bridges using adapted rock climbing techniques. He worked as a surveyor for American Electric Power in most of Ohio and in parts of Indiana and West Virginia. While working in the consultanting engineering field, his experience included inspection and load ratings of bridges, landfill design, cell tower foundation design, and various commercial development projects. Terry is a native of Canton, Ohio and currently resides in Marion. He is a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio and is the proud father of two beautiful daughters.
