Edward (Ed) J. Meixner, P.E., P.S.
Ed Meixner has served Ashland County as it’s elected County Engineer since 2000. Prior to being the Ashland County Engineer he was employed as the Assistant County Engineer. He was previously employed in the private sector as a Structural Engineer with Bechtel Power Corporation. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Ed currently serves as the Chairman for the District 16 Integrating Committee’s Small Government Committee for the Ohio Public Works Commission. He is a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the County Engineers Association of Ohio, where he is a former member of the board of directors and was awarded County Engineer of the Year in 2005. He currently is on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers. He is married to his wife Susan of 24 years and they have been blessed with six children. He is a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church where Ed lectors and serves on the Finance Committee. Susan is an organist/choir director. Ed enjoys coaching his children’s soccer teams. Ed also enjoys volunteering for his boys’ Boy Scout Troop.
