ODOT Web Broadcasts Bid Lettings Live
COLUMBUSInterim Director Gordon Proctor announced today the Ohio Department of Transportation will provide live Internet audio broadcasts of its Contract Bid Lettings. ODOT Web visitors can now listen to the letting events from their computers instead of having to travel to the events at ODOTs Central Office. The next letting is Wednesday, April 14.
Contractors and consultants attend these events in order to determine if their respective company was awarded a contract on a bid submitted to ODOT Contract Sales.
"This is another example of ODOT using technology to better serve its customers," said Proctor. "We are constantly looking for more efficient ways of doing business, and the Internet is a valuable tool in that effort."
If a contractor or other web visitor misses the live broadcast, a recording of the entire event will be available on the ODOT Contracts website until the next letting date. Software and system requirements are available on the site. Visitors can download a free media player to hear the event.
