Ohio Transportation Engineering Conference Announces Registration


COLUMBUS Ohio Department of Transportation Director Gordon Proctor and James Williams, Dean of The Ohio State University College of Engineering, announced today registration is now being accepted for the 2002 Ohio Transportation Engineering Conference (OTEC).

One of the largest transportation conferences in the nation, OTEC 2002 will bring together contractors, engineers, government officials, consultants, industry representatives, professors and students to discuss the latest in transportation technologies and trends.

"The OTEC conference has served as a gathering for transportation experts for over 50 years," said Proctor. "OTEC 2002 will draw various groups with the common goal to foster continued improvements in transportation for the state."

Held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center October 22 and 23, OTEC 2002 will feature technical sessions, an exhibitors expo and several guest speakers including a look at the future of transportation by Rodney Slater, former Secretary of Transportation.

The conference is open to anyone interested in transportation issues. Registration is $85 per person and includes two opening sessions, one afternoon session, all technical and poster sessions, two continental breakfasts, one light lunch and one evening mixer.
