Transportation Review Advisory Council

Internet News Release

March 9, 2005

COLUMBUS ODOT Director Gordon Proctor announced today the Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) is accepting applications for funding for the 2012 Major New Construction Program.

It is vital to rebuild our outdated highway network to ensure Ohio continues to serve as the transportation hub of the nation, Proctor said.  The projects we are funding will not only improve our transportation system, they will enhance the quality of life for Ohioans and instill pride in our communities.

Funding for projects approved by the TRAC has been possible through Gov. Tafts Jobs and Progress Plan.  The $5 billion, 10-year plan provides funding for projects such as the Cleveland Innerbelt, Interstate 75/Interstate 475 in Toledo, Interstate 70/Interstate 71 split in Columbus, and Interstate 75 in Cincinnati and a number of others around the state.

ODOT has set Friday, May 6 as the deadline for cities, counties and other entities to have applications delivered to the ODOT district offices.  Locals are encouraged to meet with their district offices to review their applications.  Applications, guidelines and the TRAC policies are available at the ODOT/TRAC website:
