ODOT, OSHA INVESTIGATING FATALITY ON
VETERANS GLASS CITY SKYWAY BRIDGE
 

(TOLEDO) Around 9 a.m. Thursday morning, a fatal accident occurred on the Veterans Glass City Skyway Bridge. The accident occurred on the Summit Street side of the bridge. One worker was killed.

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 and Central Office representatives are working with the contractor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to review the accident.

ODOT will hold a press conference at Veterans Glass City Skyway Field Office, 1838 Front Street, Toledo, OH. early this afternoon to review any information regarding the accident that is available.

To lend support and sympathy, ODOT will be sending trained professionals to hold a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing with department employees and will work in cooperation with others involved in this tragic incident.
