Notice of Regularly Scheduled TRAC Meeting
COLUMBUS – Ohio’s Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) is scheduled to convene its next meeting on Thursday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m., at the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Central Office in Columbus.
ODOT Director Jolene M. Molitoris, who serves as chair of the council, will brief TRAC members on the department’s investment of federal transportation stimulus funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Director Molitoris will explain the process by which ODOT researched and prioritized potential stimulus projects across Ohio, as submitted to the state’s stimulus website, www.recovery.ohio.gov. The TRAC may be called upon to vote on any necessary actions based upon the ARRA project selections.
ODOT is embarking on the largest investment in Ohio’s transportation system in state history. Combining the stimulus investments with ODOT’s dedicated funding, the recently-approved State Transportation Budget invests a total of $2.8 billion into capital and construction projects from the end of March 2009 through State Fiscal Year 2010.
