TRAC Votes on Transportation Project Funding List

 
COLUMBUS (Thursday, January 28, 2016) – Seven construction projects in Ohio will be getting additional funding from the Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC). The new funding commitments total $58.6 million. TRAC voted on the final list today.
  • Mahoning County – $6 million for construction of a new interchange at I-680 & SR 164.
  • Jefferson County – $900,000 for right-of-way and $37 million for construction of a new bridge over the Ohio River.
  • Belmont County – $3.9 million for construction of a new connector road at Commons Mall Crossing and $3.9 million for construction of a new bridge over I-70.
  • Lucas County –$500,000 for design and $1 million for right-of-way activities for construction of a new interchange at I-475 & US 20A.
  • Lucas County –$500,000 for design and $1.8 million for right-of-way activities for construction of a new interchange at I-475 & Dorr Street.
  • Allen County –$3 million for right-of-way activities for a rail grade separation on SR 309 in Lima.
  • Summit County – $4 million for right-of-way activities for reconstruction of a portion for the central interchange at I-76/I-77/SR 8.
The Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) was established by the Ohio General Assembly in 1997. It is charged with developing and overseeing a project selection process for major new transportation capacity projects that cost more than $12 million. Since 1998, TRAC has invested nearly $10.6 billion into Ohio’s infrastructure.
