Weekend Work on Columbus Crossroads Project
(Columbus OH) – Crews on the 71/670 Columbus Crossroads Project will be working this Friday and Sunday to prepare for the first phase of heavy highway construction which includes bridge demolition new bridge construction.
Beginning tomorrow night, November 18, at 8 p.m. through Monday at 5 a.m., the ramp from 670 east to Cleveland Avenue will close so crews can work on the pavement. This is just a temporary closure, and the ramp from 670 east to Cleveland Avenue will be open by 5 a.m. Monday.
On Sunday night, the following work is planned, weather permitting:
8 p.m. The Broad Street entrance ramp to 71 south will close for pavement striping.
11 p.m. 71 south will be reduced to one lane between Long and Main Streets for pavement striping.
11 p.m. The ramp from 670 west to 71 south will be reduced to one lane for striping.
All work on Sunday night is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Monday morning, in time for the early morning commute.
