Project Tours
Public tours are now scheduled for the 2013 construction season!
Reservations are required. Attendees can make reservations by emailing Info@Innerbelt.org or calling 216-344-0069 (toll-free 855-803-5280). Up to 20 people will be able to participate in each of the two monthly tours.
Tours this year will be conducted from the sidewalk of Abbey Avenue near the former site of the Cold Storage Building. Since much of the construction this year will take place on the top of the bridge, it will be hard to see the construction walking through the work site like last year. This location on top of the Tremont Bluff overlooks the work this summer. Join us for a “sidewalk talk” on the following dates:

Dress:
Tour attendees will need to dress appropriately, to include long pants and hard-soled, closed-toed shoes, and will be expected to walk about half a mile as part of the tour. The Innerbelt Bridge project team will provide other safety gear needed to participate in the tour.
Age Restrictions & Release Forms:
Attendees must be at least 18 years old; or 12 to 17 accompanied by a parent or guardian. All attendees are required to sign two releases, one for ODOT and one for Walsh Construction. Click
here for the general release forms and
here for the minor release forms. Attendees are encouraged to bring a signed copy of the releases with them on tour days in order to speed-up the check-in process.
Where to Meet:
Tours will begin adjacent to the construction site in Tremont, near 1042 Abbey Avenue (the former site of the Cold Storage Building). Please wait on the north side of the road, on the opposite side of the work zone. For a map of the tour location and parking, please click
here. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled tour time. The tour will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals will not be allowed to join the tour.
Parking:
On-street parking is available on streets near the tour site on streets such as W 11th and W 13th Place. Please be courteous when parking by avoiding blocking driveways or parking at businesses that tow cars that don’t belong to customers. For a map of the tour location and parking, please click
here. Turn-by-turn directions to the parking site are available
here.
Remember:
This is a Construction Zone! Safety is our number one priority, and we will make every effort to keep you safe on the job site, but there may be uneven footing, mud, dust, loud noises, sparks and more. We appreciate your help in keeping our work zones safe!
***Please note: All tours are weather permitting and access to the work area may be denied at any time.
