E 14th Street Ramps to both I-90 West and I-77 SouthThrough the summer of 2012, the E 14th Street ramp to I-90 westbound and I-77 southbound is closed as the ramp is rebuilt and a new bridge is built over E 9th Street. I-90 traffic is detoured via E 9th Street or Ontario Street. I-77 traffic is detoured via E 14th to Orange Avenue.
E 21st Street Ramp to I-77 SB Closed
The E 21st Street ramp to I-77 southbound is closed. Motorists are detoured via Carnegie Ave. to E 14th Street or E 22nd Street where motorists may enter Orange Avenue and continue on to I-77 southbound
I-90 EB Ramp to I-77 SB Closed
The I-90 eastbound ramp to I-77 southbound is closed permanently. Motorists are rerouted via I-90 eastbound to I-490 eastbound to I-77 southbound.
I-77 NB Ramp to I-90 WB ClosedThe I-77 northbound ramp to I-90 westbound is closed permanently. Motorists are rerouted via I-77 northbound to I-490 westbound to I-90 westbound.
University Road ClosedUniversity Road is permanently closed between W 14th Street and the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks along the west bank of the Cuyahoga River. A cul-de-sac will be erected just west of the railroad tracks. Motorists are rerouted via Scranton Road and Fairfield Avenue.
Broadway AvenueThe roughly 500-foot portion of Broadway Avenue running diagonally between E 9th Street/Orange Avenue and E 14th Street is permanently closed. Motorists may use either E 14th or E 30th Streets to access Broadway Avenue. The roadway in this area is being reconfigured to provide better access to a new "E 9th Street Extension" which will allow better traffic flow - particularly for heavy trucks - into Cleveland's industrial Flats.
I-90 WB Exit to Abbey Avenue
The I-90 west exit ramp to Abbey Avenue is closed through the fall of 2013. The W 14th Street exit remains OPEN. Motorists may detour via W 14th Street, left on Fairfield, left on W 11th and left on Abbey. Click here for a map of the area and detour.
