 Opportunity Corridor Schedule


Based upon the results of a detailed analysis by the design team, ODOT has made a commitment to the City of Cleveland that Quincy Ave will remain open to traffic after the completion of the Opportunity Corridor project. Additionally, in response to continued coordination between ODOT, the city, and the neighborhood community development corporations, the cul-de-sac locations that were previously depicted as part of the Preferred Alternative at the direction of the Federal Highway Administration have been removed from the project as preliminary design plans are developed.

The Opportunity Corridor project has been divided into three construction sections:
  • Section 1 – East 105th Street from Quebec Avenue to north of Chester Avenue; Construction to begin Winter, 2015.
  • Section 2 – New roadway from East 93rd St. to Quebec Ave. Design-Build; Construction to begin Fall, 2015.
  • Section 3 – New roadway from I-490/East 55th Street to East 93rd Street; Construction to begin in 2017 (TBD).

 Section 1 Contractor

​Section 1 of the Opportunity Corridor has been awarded to McTech Corp/Perk Company Inc, a joint venture for a bid amount of $20,969,780.  Construction is expected to begin in winter 2015.

 Bridge Aesthetics Information


ODOT is seeking property owners, residents and other interested persons input on bridge aesthetic items for the Opportunity Corridor.  The bridge aesthetics will be consistent throughout the entire corridor on all seven bridges. 

We encourage you to look at the information below and provide your comments.  All comments recieved will be given careful consideration as the design progresses. Comments must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 to be considered in future design.

Comments must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 to be considered in future design. The City of Cleveland will have final approval on elements to include.
