Reduction in Vehicle Miles Traveled (Daily)
In addition to providing the recognition for the number of passengers carried by an urban transit or intercity rail facility, the TRAC seeks to measure and award points for a projects daily reduction in vehicular traffic in the corridor served by the project. Most project feasibility studies will readily provide such estimates of a projects impact and the values provided in these reports can be used. If a project sponsor does not have this information ODOT will calculate the VNT reduction based on the statewide transportation model.
