2. Sampling and/or Inspection Requirements:

Highway lighting items found in Item 625 shall conform to Item 725 Lighting & Electrical Materials.

Certification - Supplement 1091

Light poles and Light Tower materials and associated components shall be produced by a certified plant as per Supplement 1091. A list of certified suppliers and the material they produce is available at the OMM website http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/ConstructionMgt/Materials/Pages/default.aspx.

Producer/suppliers will direct luminaire support materials to ODOT projects. A TE-24 Shipping Notice must be received with the shipment. A bill of lading defining the components incorporated into the construction material item shall accompany the TE-24. If a TE-24 is not received, the material shall be rejected as not coming from a certified supplier.

Qualified Product List (QPL)

Only material that is approved as a Qualified Product may be used. To verify, refer to Qualified Product List (QPL) on the OMM website http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/ConstructionMgt/Materials/Pages/QPL.aspx Suppliers who are interested in approval of their products should follow the requirements defined for this product on the list website.
