The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to upgrade the existing roadway information signs at 13 intersections along US 30 in Van Wert County to improve safety. Construction will start at the Township Road 21 (Klinger) / County Road 11 (Benton) intersection and end at the County Road 77 (Liberty-Union) intersection. Additionally, signs will also be upgraded at the US 30 and County Road 1 (State Line) intersection (Ohio side only) in Paulding County. See attached location list. All work will occur within the existing roadway right of way.

Traffic detours are not anticipated during construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2021.

On 10/02/20, ODOT District Environmental Staff prepared a website post inviting comment for resurfacing work on State Route (SR) 12 in Hancock County from the western corporate limits of the Village of Benton Ridge to the western corporate limits of the City of Findlay. Additionally, curb ramp and sidewalk work may occur in the Village of Benton Ridge. No comments were received.

On 01/28/21, the ODOT Project Manager notified District Environmental Staff that additional work had been added to the project. This work includes adding resurfacing to SR 12 from the Putnam County line to the western corporate limits of the Village of Benton Ridge. See attached mapping. All work will occur within the existing roadway right of way.

Traffic detours are not anticipated during construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2022.

On 05/12/20, ODOT District Environmental Staff prepared a website post inviting comment for resurfacing work on various routes in Putnam County within the Villages of Ottawa and Fort Jennings: In Fort Jennings on State Route (SR) 189 from the western corporate limits to the eastern corporate limits and on SR 190 from the southern corporate limits to the intersection with SR 634. In Ottawa on US 224 from the Blanchard River Bridge to the CSX railroad crossing, on SR 65 from County Route J to US 224 and from SR 15 to just north of Blackburn St, on SR 15 from the northern corporate limits to US 224, and on SR 109 from SR 65 to the northern corporate limits. No comments were received.

On 01/14/20, the ODOT Project Manager notified District Environmental Staff that additional work had been added to the project. This work includes adding resurfacing to SR 190 northeast of the Village of Fort Jennings (mile markers 6.24 to 6.40) near County Road Q where the plug pile wall was built along the Auglaize River and on US 224 just west of Harvest Ridge Road to the Blanchard River bridge in the Village of Ottawa to match the existing pavement. See attached mapping. All work will occur within the existing roadway right of way.
