NEW PRODUCT APPROVAL
For a new product to be considered it must be specifically designed for plugging lifting holes. It must be demonstrated by the manufacturer that the device will last for the life of the concrete unit in the environment for which it will be exposed.
DESCRIPTION
These plugs are incidental to the item but only approved items on this list should be used. Lifting plug devices mat be used in lieu of precast concrete plug or mortar items.

PREPARATION
Prepare lifting holes as recommended by the Manufacturer. Oversized holes or holes damaged during handling may require an alternate method of plugging the hole, such as use of a grout.
COMPLIANCE
Inspect to ensure complete closure of the lifting hole. No sample is required.
