ARTIMIS sign upgrade work continues

Various lane closures scheduled for ARTIMIS sign upgrade

Hamilton County (Thursday, April 26, 2012) – While work on removing and replacing 28 ARTIMIS dynamic message signs on the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky regional interstate system continues, the following lane closures will be required during the week of April 30:

Monday, April 30:  Northbound Interstate 75, north of Towne Street, a single lane closure at 9 p.m. with a double lane closure beginning at 11 p.m.

Tuesday, May 1:  Westbound I-275 east of Mosteller Road, a single lane closure at 6 p.m. with a double lane closure beginning after 7 p.m.

Wednesday, May 2:  Eastbound I-275 east of Reed Hartman, a single lane closure at 6 p.m. with a double lane closure beginning after 7 p.m.

Rolling lane closures may also be used after 11 p.m. with local law enforcement officers maintaining traffic.  Traffic will return to single lane closures at 5 a.m., and all lanes will be open to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.  To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
