Cincinnati-Dayton Road Improvements Phases 1 and 2

PID 96452 PID 98776

Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015

West Chester Twp. Administration Building
9113 Cincinnati Dayton Rd.
West Chester Twp.
Butler County Ohio

Widen Cincinnati Dayton Road from two to four lanes from West Chester Road north to the I-75 northbound on-ramp. The resulting roadway will be two northbound lanes, a center turn lane for safety and one southbound lane for the majority of the project. Station Road will be realigned slightly to the south of the existing alignment to improve geometrics at the Cincinnati Dayton Road intersection. In addition, the project includes a new bridge over the East Fork Mill Creek, as well as the addition of curbs, sidewalks, and a shared use path. The proposed project includes two project phases, each programmed for construction in 2018. There is a need to widen Cincinnati Dayton Road in the project area to accommodate existing and projected traffic, reduce roadway congestion, and improve motorist safety. The proposed project supports West Chester Township's community and economic development goals by improving traffic mobility and safety to areas of ongoing development.

Hamilton County
Northbound I-71 between SR 562 and Red Bank Expressway interchanges
PID 94741

Tuesday, July 12,
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Edgewood High School,
3045 Busenbark Rd.
Trenton 45067

The Ohio Department of Transportation has recently received safety funding from the Highway Safety Improvement Program for the intersection of State Route 73 (Trenton Oxford Road) and Jacksonburg Road. The funding became available following an ODOT-sponsored safety study as well as in response to safety inquiries from the Wayne Township Board of Trustees. A feasibility study completed by the consultant, Burgess & Niple, has recommended a roundabout alternative for this intersection.
The existing skewed intersection of SR 73 and Jacksonburg Road has received several safety upgrades in the past. Following a 2015 Safety Study and the comparison of possible alternatives, it has been determined that the construction of a roundabout at this intersection will best increase the safety of the intersection and the Wayne Township community. The proposed project is scheduled to begin construction in 2019. This project will fulfill the needs of the community by improving the safety of the intersection and surrounding area.
You are invited to a public input meeting where you can review and provide feedback on the preliminary project plans. This will be an informal, open house style meeting.
During this meeting, it will be possible to review and comment on the proposed plans. Public officials and project representatives will also be available to address any questions.
This direct notification letter is being sent to property owners and residents in the immediate project area. Notices for this public meeting are also published in local newspapers and the ODOT district 8 webpage (www.transportation.ohio.gov/dist8). Public input is an important part of the development process. If any individual requires special assistance or interpretation, contact the Project Manager, Brianne Hetzel, at 513-933-6624 five to seven days prior to the event.
More information about the meeting, project or directions to the meeting location can be found on the ODOT District 8 webpage or by contacting Brianne Hetzel at the number above.

Hamilton County
Red Bank Corridor and the I-275/SR 32 Interchange

Thursday, March 9
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Miami Valley Christian Acadeny, 6830 School Street, Newtown, OH 45244

On Thursday, March 9, 2017, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will host a Public Open House to share updated traffic volume, travel time, congestion and crash data for the portion of the Eastern Corridor that extends between the Red Bank Corridor and the I-275/SR 32 interchange near Eastgate (Eastern Corridor Segments II and III). ODOT will also share feedback received from the public through an interactive, online survey and a series of Focus Area Workshops that took place last spring.

Those interested in attending can come any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.; no formal presentation will be held. ODOT project team members will be available to answer questions and discuss material that will be shared on information boards.
EC.jpg
“We’ve conducted extensive public involvement and updated key technical data for this central region of the Eastern Corridor. The information we’ve gathered has helped identify needs which will be used to establish priorities moving forward,” said ODOT project manager Tom Arnold. “During upcoming months, we will work with local community representatives to identify potential options to address these needs, focusing on the existing transportation network.”

Over the course of the past year, ODOT held six Focus Area Workshops to gather public feedback on priorities, problem areas and improvements needed throughout the corridor. The project team also launched a comprehensive online data collection process that allowed community members to share their thoughts by computer and mobile device. Approximately 1,200 individuals participated. In addition, ODOT conducted multiple technical studies to inform current travel analyses and predict future needs.

“The purpose of this Open House is to confirm with the public that we’ve captured their concerns, and for us to collectively review both public and technical data in an open, collaborative setting,” said Arnold.

Following the Open House and a subsequent 30-day public comment period, ODOT will begin working with local community representatives and planners to develop priority-driven solutions to the transportation needs identified. Recommendations for localized transportation improvements will be shared for public review and input soon after. At that time, planners will begin the process of seeking planning and construction funding for approved improvements.

Information presented at the Open House will be posted on www.EasternCorridor.org on March 9, 2017.

Comments from the public can be submitted at the Open House; sent via email to EasternCorridor@EasternCorridor.org; submitted through the Feedback tool on the Eastern Corridor website; or sent to Tom Arnold, ODOT District 8, 505 S. State Route 741, Lebanon, OH 45036. The public comment period closes at midnight on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

The Public Open House is ADA accessible. Individuals needing interpretation or special assistance services should contact Andy Fluegemann, ODOT, at Andy.Fluegemann@dot.ohio.gov or
(513) 933-6597 by February 27, 2017.
