Bridge Demolition Work Calls for SR 128 Closures

 
 

 

 

SR 128 closures in place for bridge demolition work

Hamilton County (Thursday, May 5, 2011) – To accommodate bridge demolition work, State Route 128 at Interstate 74/275 will be closed in both directions for half-hour periods Friday, May 6. The closures will be in place from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Law enforcement officers will be on duty to facilitate the closure and help ensure the safety of the traveling public. 

An emergency lane will be maintained at all times for the safe passage of emergency vehicles through the work limits.

During the closures, northbound SR 128 traffic will be detoured to eastbound I-74 to the Harrison/Rybolt Road exit (11), left onto Harrison Avenue, right onto westbound I-74, to the SR 128 off ramp exit (7), and right to continue northbound on SR 128.

Southbound traffic will be detoured to westbound I-74/I-275 to the Dry Ford Road exit (3), left onto Dry Fork Road, left onto eastbound I-74, to the SR 128 exit (7), and right to continue southbound on SR 128.

Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the closure.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
