I-75 full closures scheduled for bridge demolition
Hamilton County (Friday, Sept. 4, 2015) – Work to
accommodate demolition of a railroad bridge will require overnight full
closures of Interstate 75 next week.
A single lane closure will be in place on
southbound I-75 between the State Route 562 (exit 7) and Mitchell Avenue (exit
6) interchanges, beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, followed by a
double lane closure at 11 p.m., with all lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m.
the following day.
A full closure of southbound I-75 between State Route 562 (exit 7) and Interstate 74 (exit 4)
will be in place, beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 and at 11 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 10, reopening to traffic by 5 a.m. the next morning. A single
lane closure will be in place beginning at 9 p.m.; the ramp from westbound 562
to southbound 75 will be closed at this time; the ramp from southbound 75 to
eastbound 562 will remain open. Traffic will be detoured to westbound I-275
to eastbound I-74 to southbound I-75.
A full closure of northbound I-75 between Mitchell Avenue (exit 6) and SR 562 (exit 7) will be
in place beginning two hours upon completion of the Cincinnati Reds game
Friday, Sept. 11 and beginning at 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, reopening by 7
a.m. the following day. The ramp from Mitchell Avenue to northbound I-75 will
be closed; the ramp from northbound I-75 to Mitchell Avenue will remain open. Traffic
will be detoured to westbound I-74 to eastbound I-275 to northbound I-75.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert
motorists of the upcoming and lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers
as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their
speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
