construction updates
HAMILTON COUNTY (Monday, June
23, 2014)
– Upcoming work for the following I-75 Millcreek Expressway improvement
projects in Hamilton County will require these closures:
I-75
at SR 562
A
single lane closure on north and southbound Interstate 75 just south of State
Route 562 beginning at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 11 p.m.
each night the week of June 23, with all lanes opening to traffic by 6 a.m. the
following day. Direction of lane closure and configuration will be dependent on
progress from previous night’s work.
On
Friday, June 27, all lanes of northbound I-75 will be closed between Mitchell
Avenue and SR 562 interchanges to accommodate work to replace a railroad bridge
overpass. The closure will begin at 11 p.m. Friday, June 27 with all lanes
reopened to traffic by 8 a.m. Saturday, June 28.
The
northbound I-75 exit to Mitchell Avenue will remain open to traffic. The
suggested detour is west on I-74 to east on I-275 to I-75. Traffic will be
maintained with law enforcement officials.

at Hopple
Nightly
30-minute closures of Central Parkway between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday, June
23 through Friday, June 27.
Double left lane closure on northbound
I-75 Monday, June 23 through Thursday, June 26, and closure of the ramp from
northbound I-75 to Hopple Street beginning at 10 p.m., with all lanes open to
traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.
Double right lane closure on southbound
I-75 and closure of the ramp from southbound I-75 to Hopple Street Monday, June
23 through Thursday, June 26, beginning at 10 p.m., with all lanes open to
traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.
Rolling closure on northbound I-75
beginning at midnight Monday, June 23, and ending at 5 a.m. the following day.
Rolling closure on southbound I-75
beginning at midnight Tuesday, June 24, and ending at 5 a.m. the following day.
Various side street flagging operations
for material deliveries between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
Flagging operation on Marshall Avenue
for bridge construction between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists
of the upcoming lane closures.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
