Interstate 71 paving project update
Hamilton County (Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017) - Continuous pavement work
requires closing the ramp from Kennedy/Ridge avenues to southbound
I-71/westbound SR 562 this weekend.
Beginning at 10 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 4, the ramp will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7 for bridge
deck overlay work. Traffic will be detoured using Ibsen Avenue, Kennedy Avenue,
Highland Avenue and Ridge Avenue.
RED BANK EXPRESSWAY - As a
reminder, water main work requires closing the northbound Red Bank Expressway
at Duck Creek Road beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4. This closure will
elimnate access to I-71 from Red Bank Road until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug 7.
In addition, there will be a single left lane closure on
southbound Red Bank Expressway between I-71 and Madison Avenue.
Traffic will be detoured using Duck Creek Road and Kenedy Avenue
to access north and southbound I-71.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone, lane and
ramp closures.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
