Interstate 71 repaving project update
Hamilton County (Friday, Sept. 29, 2017) - Various single lane closures
on Smith Road near the Interstate 71 ramps from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily for curb
patching, Monday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 6.
Also, various nightly
lane closures on north and southbound I-71 between Ridge Road and Victory
Parkway. Lane closures will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Sunday, Oct. 1
through Saturday, Oct. 7. Traffic will be maintained. In addition, short-term full closures will
be in effect from midnight to 5 a.m. each week night to set overhead signs.
Local law enforcement will maintain traffic.
Closing the ramps at
I-71 and SR 562 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night, Sunday, Oct. 1 through
Saturday, Oct. 7. Only one ramp at a time will be closed for paving.
Arrow boards and/or signs
will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
