Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project

Hamilton
County (Tuesday,
December 3, 2019) - The I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction project
requires the following restrictions this week:
Tuesday,
December 3: Single-lane closures on
I-74 East and West between Montana Avenue and the I-75 interchange from
8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- 15-minute, short duration complete closures of I-74 and
I-75 between midnight and 4 a.m.
Wednesday,
December 4: The ramp from I-74 East
to I-75 North will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured
via I-75 South to the Hopple Street exit to I-75 North.
- Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Montana Avenue to
the I-75 interchange from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Various lane closures on I-75 South from just south the
I-74 interchange to the Western Hills Viaduct from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- 15-minute, short duration complete closures of I-74 and
I-75 between midnight and 4 a.m.
Thursday,
December 5: Single lane closure on I-74
East from Montana Avenue to the I-75 interchange from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Upon
completion of lane closure, one lane of I-74 East will be moved to the south
side of the newly completed bridge decks over north and south Beekman Street;
the other I-74 East lane will remain in the current contraflow lane.
- 15-minute, short duration complete closures of I-74 and
I-75 between midnight and 4 a.m.
Friday,
December 6: 15-minute, short duration
complete closures of I-74 and I-75 between midnight and 4 a.m.
- Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Montana Avenue to
the I-75 interchange from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Arrow boards and/or signs will
alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon
the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the
construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain
alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through
the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
