Interstate 75/Thru the Valley Project Update
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018) - The Interstate 75/Thru the
Valley project requires the following traffic shift, lane and ramp closures:
Beginning at 8 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 11, north I-75 traffic will be shifted to the east side of I-75
using existing shoulders and temporary pavement. The shift will be from just
north of Davis Street to the Sharon Road exit, and will remain in place through
spring, 2019 to allow for construction in the center of the interstate.
Continuing through
Monday, Aug. 13: Close the north I-75
Collector/Distributor and the north I-75 ramp to Glendale Milford Road nightly
from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., through Monday, Aug. 13. The detour uses Sharon Road
back to south I-75 to Shepherd Lane.
Tuesday, Aug. 14: Short-term full closures on north I-75 just south of Shepherd Lane
from 12:01 a.m. until 4 a.m. Traffic will be maintained will law enforcement
officers.
In addition, the I-75 north ramp to Shepherd Lane remains closed.
The detour uses north I-75 to Sharon Road to south I-75 to Shepherd Lane.
Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the
upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Move over or slow down.
