Hamilton County (Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018) - The Interstate 75/Thru the Valley project requires the following traffic shift, lane and ramp closures:
Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, north I-75 traffic will be shifted to the east side of I-75 using existing shoulders and temporary pavement. The shift will be from just north of Davis Street to the Sharon Road exit, and will remain in place through spring, 2019 to allow for construction in the center of the interstate.
Continuing through Monday, Aug. 13: Close the north I-75 Collector/Distributor and the north I-75 ramp to Glendale Milford Road nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., through Monday, Aug. 13. The detour uses Sharon Road back to south I-75 to Shepherd Lane.
Tuesday, Aug. 14: Short-term full closures on north I-75 just south of Shepherd Lane from 12:01 a.m. until 4 a.m. Traffic will be maintained will law enforcement officers.
In addition, the I-75 north ramp to Shepherd Lane remains closed. The detour uses north I-75 to Sharon Road to south I-75 to Shepherd Lane.
Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone. Move over or slow down.
