Interstate 75/Thru the Valley Project Update
Hamilton County (Wednesday,
December 4, 2019) - As part of the Interstate 75/Thru the Valley
project, lane restrictions will be in effect this weekend on I-75 South to
shift traffic for the next phase of construction.
December
6 through 7:
- Various lane closures on I-75 South at the Sharon
Road/I-75 South interchange beginning at 8 p.m. Friday.
- Short-term full closures of I-75 South from
Glendale Milford Road to Shepherd Avenue between midnight and 4 a.m.
Saturday.
- Glendale Milford Road and Shepherd Avenue ramps will be
maintained during overnight operations.
Once the shift is complete, thru traffic
on southbound I-75 will be in the LEFT three lanes, and motorists to the
Glendale Milford Road and Shepherd Avenue exits must use the RIGHT lane. Both exits
are in a right express lane of their own and will re-connect with mainline
traffic south of Shepherd Avenue.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures, and traffic will be
maintained with law enforcement officers during periods of short-term closures.
All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
For ongoing traffic,
construction and weather-related information, please check www.OHGO.com.
