Indiana Interstate 70 bridge project scheduled
Expect delays in Ohio
Preble/Montgomery
counties (Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018)
- The Indiana Department of Transportation has a bridge project on
Interstate 70 mainline bridges over U.S. Route 40 near the Indiana/Ohio State
line.
Below are the scheduled lane/ramp closures:
- The right lane of east I-70 at the Indiana 156 mm, and
the east exit 156B (east I-70 to east U.S. 40) were closed last Saturday,
Sept. 8 and are expected to reopen by noon Friday, Sept. 14.
- The right lane of west I-70 at the Indiana 156 mm will
be closed at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. West exit 156A (west I-70 to west
U.S. 40) will be closed at the same time. Two lanes of west I-70 and exit
156A are expected to be open to traffic by noon Friday, Sept. 21.
Arrow boards and/or
signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should
remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing
through the work zone.
