Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project
Update Traffic Shift Scheduled
Hamilton County (Friday,
Nov. 2, 2018) - The first stage of construction on the
I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes
pavement resurfacing, bridge deck patching, and drainage improvements on west
I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
Friday, Nov. 2 - Lane closure
on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the
following day. Also, lane closure
on Elmore Street under I-74 overpass from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
In addition, short-term full closures on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue from 12:01 a.m. until 4 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
Sunday, Nov. 4 - Traffic
switch on west I-74 requires the following: Lane closure on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Also, close the
ramp from west I-74 to Colerain Avenue (exit 18) from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
In addition, short-term full closures on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue from 12:01 a.m. until 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5.
Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
Once complete, the work zone will be in the center of
westbound I-74 lanes. One lane of traffic remains on the inside shoulder and
one lane is shifted to the outside shoulder. Signs and traffic control devices
will be used to direct and maintain traffic.
Monday,
Nov. 5, Tuesday, Nov. 6 and Wednesday, Nov. 7 - Close the ramp from west I-74 to Colerain Avenue (exit 18) from
10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Also, on Tuesday and Wednesday, nightly
lane closures on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue nightly from 8 p.m.
until 6 a.m. the following day. Nightly lane closure on east I-74 from Montana
Avenue to I-75 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
In addition, nightly lane closure on
Elmore Street under I-74 overpass nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All
work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
