State Route 177 full closure scheduled for
embankment and culvert work
Butler County (Thursday, July 5, 2018) - Embankment and culvert
replacements require a full closure of State Route 177 (Hamilton-Richmond Road)
between SR 130 (Old Oxford Road) and Beissinger Road beginning Monday, July 9.
SR 177 will be closed
for 45 days between SR 130 and Beissinger Road from 7 a.m. Monday, July 9 until
approximately 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27.
The detour uses SR 130
and U.S. Route 27 to the south through Millville; SR 129 to the west; SR 732
north to Oxford, and SR 73 back to SR 177 north of Darrtown. Local traffic
will be maintained.
Arrow boards and/or
signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and full
closure. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety
of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should
remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing
through the work zone.
