U.S. 42 closure scheduled for culvert work
Butler County (Friday, Feb. 10, 2012) – Culvert work will require the closure of U.S. 42 for 14 days, beginning Saturday, Feb. 18
Access to all addresses/businesses will be maintained throughout the closure, which will be located between Cox and Butler-Warren roads. Addresses north of the closure will be accessible from Butler-Warren Road and addresses south of the closure will be accessible from Cox Road. Northbound U.S. 42 traffic will be detoured north to Cox Road to east on Tylersville Road to U.S. 42. Southbound traffic will be detoured west to Tylersville Road to south on Cox Road to U.S. 42.
The closure, which is part of the U.S. 42 widening work, will be in place until Friday, March 2.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
