Volunteers Work To Drive Out Litter
WHAT: Keep Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB) and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) have teamed up once again to host the 2012 State Roadway Cleanup. This Saturday, over 150 volunteers will be picking up litter along Cincinnati’s major thoroughfares, including I-71 and I-75. In addition to these cleanup locations, volunteers from the Cincinnati Zoo and the University of Cincinnati will be weeding, edging, and mulching KCB’s Daffodils & Daylilies flower beds. The day’s work will not only improve the daily commute of residents and businesses, but it will also leave a lasting impression on the thousands of international travelers expected to visit Cincinnati for the World Choir Games in just a few months. All volunteers will receive a free ticket to the Cincinnati Zoo for participating.
