I-71 lane closures at Wilmington Road Bridge
Warren County (Wednesday, May 2, 2018) - Bridge work requires various
nightly lane closures on north and south Interstate 71 at the Wilmington Road
Bridge (approximately mile marker 37) beginning Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m.
through Tuesday, May 8 at 6 a.m.
The work will require short-term full closures (15 minutes)
between midnight and 5 a.m.
The Wilmington Road
Bridge is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic until mid-September. Currently
the north side of the bridge, carrying westbound traffic, is closed. Traffic
will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.
Arrow boards and/or
signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone, lane and road
restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
