Interstate 71 shoulder closure and overnight closures of Fields-Ertel and Mason-Montgomery roads scheduled
Warren County (Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015) – Guardrail installation will require closing the shoulder of northbound Interstate 71 at Mason-Montgomery Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.
Also, beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, Fields-Ertel Road will be closed until 6 a.m. the following day. The road closure will also be in effect from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 until 6 a.m. the following day. The detour will use Escort Drive and Mason-Montgomery Road.
In addition, from this date until mid-October, there will be various nightly full closures of Fields-Ertel and Mason-Montgomery roads, never concurrently. The detour route will use Escort Drive. These closures are for bridge painting operations.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane and road closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
