I-71/Socialville-Fosters Road construction update

I-71/Socialville-Fosters Road construction

Warren County (Tuesday, March 1, 2016) – The following restrictions will be in place on Interstate 71 this week for the installation of portable concrete barrier wall to accommodate bridge replacement of the Socialville-Fosters Road bridge over I-71.

Single lane closures in the left lane of north and southbound I-71 at Socialville-Fosters Road bridge (mile marker 22 to 23) beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 through Friday, March 4, followed by double lane closures at 11 p.m.

Work will switch to the right and center lanes of north and southbound I-71 with all lanes reopening by 7 a.m. the following day.

Work is expected to be complete by Saturday morning but if necessary, the lane closures will remain in place until 9 a.m. Saturday, March 5.

Once complete, both the median and outside shoulders of north and southbound I-71 will remain in this traffic configuration for approximately 40 weeks.

Law enforcement officers will maintain traffic and all work depends on weather.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
