I-74 Traffic Switch Set for May 2-3

Lane closures scheduled for traffic switch

Hamilton County (Wednesday, May 2, 2012) – Work to implement a traffic switch will require lane closures on westbound Interstate 74 at State Route 128 tonight.

A single lane closure will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a double lane closure at 9 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. tomorrow.  Once complete, traffic will be placed on the outside pavement and shoulder in both directions of I-74 while work continues on the inside median lanes, eliminating all crossovers.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closure.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
