Lane Closures on Interstate 75 Scheduled
Hamilton County (Friday, July 29, 2011) – Nightly lane closures are scheduled this weekend and next week for both north and southbound Interstate 75 near the Monmouth Street overpass, located between the exits for Hopple Street and the I-74 interchange.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday, July 29: Southbound left lanes, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Saturday, July 30: Southbound left lanes, 9 p.m.; northbound right lanes, midnight, with all lanes open to traffic by 7 a.m. the next day.
Sunday, July 31: Southbound left lanes and northbound right lanes, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Monday, Aug. 1 through Thursday, Aug. 4: northbound left lanes, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday, Aug. 6: southbound right lanes, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Sunday, Aug. 7: southbound right lanes, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Monday, Aug. 8: southbound right lanes, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
This work is for Phase 2 of the $664 million Interstate 75 Mill Creek Expressway Project, which will improve traffic flow and enhance safety of the I-75 corridor from the Western Hills Viaduct to north of the Paddock Road interchange in Hamilton County.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
