I-75 lane and ramp closures,
traffic switch scheduled this weekend
HAMILTON COUNTY (Wednesday, June
25, 2014)
– This weekend, significant work operations are scheduled for the following
I-75 Mill Creek Expressway improvement projects. Traffic delays will be
significant and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
I-75
at Hopple
Work to implement a traffic switch on northbound I-75 at the
Hopple interchange will require the following restrictions:
A single lane closure will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, June 27,
followed by a double lane closure at 10 p.m. with all lanes open to traffic by
8 a.m. Saturday, June 28. The ramps from Harrison Avenue and Bank Street to
northbound I-75 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday, as
well.
The traffic switch will relocate all four lanes of northbound
traffic to west of the barrier wall onto the southbound side of I-75 from just
north of the Western Hills Viaduct to just south of Hopple Street.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to
alert motorists of the upcoming traffic operation. To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
