Full closure on southbound Interstate 75 scheduled
Hamilton
County
(Thursday, July 3, 2014) – Significant work operations on Interstate75
just south of State Route 562 for the Mill Creek Expressway improvement
projects will require the following full closure, and motorists are encourage
to seek alternate routes:
On
Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11, all lanes of southbound I-75 will be
closed between the SR 562 and Mitchell
Avenue interchanges to accommodate work to replace a railroad bridge overpass.
The closure will begin each night at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic
by 5 a.m. the following day. The ramp from westbound SR 562 to southbound I-75
will also be closed.
The
suggested detour is west on I-275 to east on I-74 to I-75. Traffic will be
maintained with law enforcement officials.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure
and detour.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
