I-75/Hopple lane closures update

Hamilton County (Monday, Oct. 19, 2015) –Construction work on Interstate 75 at Hopple Street requires the following closures this week:

The right lane of southbound I-75 between the I-74 and Hopple Street interchanges will be closed at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 and Tuesday, Oct 20, reopening by 6 a.m. the next day.

The ramp from southbound I-75 to Hopple Street will be closed at 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 and Tuesday, Oct. 20, reopening by 5 a.m. the next day.

Work to relocate the ramp from southbound I-75 to Hopple Street approximately 500 feet to the north under the Monmouth Street overpass will take place Thursday, Oct. 22 and will require:

·         Closure of the right lane of southbound I-75 between the ramp to westbound I-74 and the ramp from eastbound I-74 to southbound I-75 beginning at 8 p.m. and reopening by 6 a.m. the next day.

·         Closure of the ramp from southbound I-75 to Hopple Street, beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, reopening by 5 a.m. the next day.  

Right lane of southbound Central Parkway between the Connector Road and Marshall Avenue for fence work, closed for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Various side street flagging operations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

In addition, resurfacing work on I-75 between the Norwood Lateral and the Ronald Reagan interchanges will require a nightly single lane closure on northbound I-75 beginning at 9 p.m. followed by a double lane closure at 11 p.m.  Monday, Oct. 19 through Saturday, Oct. 24, with all lanes reopening to traffic by 5 a.m. the next day.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road and lane closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
