I-75/Hopple construction update

Interstate 75/Hopple construction update

Hamilton County (Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016) – Work on the Interstate75/Hopple Street project requires a minor traffic switch on northbound I-75 in the following ramp closure Tuesday morning.

The far right (easternmost) lane of northbound I-75 will be shifted slightly from its current location. The three lanes of northbound I-75 that are located in a contra-flow pattern on the left/west side of I-75 will not be affected. To accomplish this shift, the following restrictions will be in place:

·         Close the right lane of northbound I-75 from south of the Western Hills Viaduct to south of Hopple Street from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 until 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10

·         Close the ramp from Harrison Avenue/Bank Street to northbound I-71 from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.

·         Close the ramp from northbound I-75 to Hopple Street from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.

Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the work zone, lane and ramp closures. All work is weather dependent.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
