Traffic shift for northbound I-75 scheduled
Hamilton County (Thursday, April 30, 2015)
– To
accommodate a traffic shift on northbound Interstate at the Hopple interchange,
various lane closures are scheduled Friday, May 1:
A
single lane closure on northbound I-75 from south of Hopple Street to westbound
I-74, beginning at 8 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 10 p.m.
as well as closure of the ramp from Hopple Street to westbound I-74 at 10 p.m.
with all lanes reopening to traffic by 9 a.m. the following day.
Access
to westbound I-74 from northbound I-75 will be closed for approximately two
hours beginning at midnight with traffic detoured by way of northbound I-75 to
the Mitchell Avenue exit to southbound I-75 to westbound I-74. Upon
completion of work, northbound I-75 will be shifted to the east between the
Hopple Street exit and the I-74 interchange.
Beginning
Monday, May 4, the right lane of southbound Central Parkway near Cincinnati
State will be closed for four weeks for approximately 600 feet, beginning at
the south end of the eastbound I-74 ramp to Central Parkway. Southbound Central
Parkway traffic will be required to yield to merging traffic from eastbound
I-74. Work to implement the closure will take place from 10 p.m. Sunday, May 3
to 5 a.m. Monday, May 4.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road
and lane closures.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
