Interstate 275 Repaving and Bridge Work project update

Traffic Switch Scheduled

Hamilton County (Thursday, May 2, 2019) - The Interstate 275 Repaving and Bridge work project requires the following restrictions on Thursday, May 2, Friday, May 3 and Sunday, May 5:
  • Close exits 71 (U.S. 52/East Kellogg Avenue) and 72 (U.S. 52/West Kellogg Avenue) nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. The Kellogg Avenue ramp to east I-275 will be open. The detour uses exit 69 (File Mile Road) to west I-275. The contraflow lane will remain open; speed limit in this area will be reduced to 50 mph.
REMINDER: On Sunday, May 5, the contraflow lane will be switched from the Kentucky into Ohio configuration to the Ohio into Kentucky configuration.
The following restrictions remain in place for trucks:
  • 10’ wide
  • 75’ overall length
  • Weight restriction of 120,000 lbs.

Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
