Interstate 70 Rest Areas Construction Scheduled
Preble County (Friday, May 25, 2018) - Both the east and west Interstate
70 rest areas will be closed beginning at 12:01 a.m. Friday, June 1. The
construction schedule is currently being finalized so the future reopening is
still being determined.
The next available rest
area on westbound I-70 is located just west of North Centerville Road exit
(approximately mile marker 146) in Indiana.
The next available rest
area on eastbound I-70 is located at Exit 71 just east of the State Route 54
exit.
The project involves
facility, utility and parking lot construction.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
