Interstate 71 lane and short-term full closures scheduled

Hamilton County (Friday, Feb. 17, 2017) – Overhead sign removal just north of the Lytle Tunnel requires closing the right lane of southbound Interstate 71 from the I-471 south exit ramp to the tunnel beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 until 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.

In addition, there will be short-term full closures on southbound I-71 in this location beginning at 10 p.m. Local law enforcement officers will maintain traffic, and all lanes will be open by 5 a.m. Thursday.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane and short-term full closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
