Interstate 71/MLK project update
Hamilton County (Tuesday, March 15, 2016) – As part of the work to create a new, full movement interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive, the following road closure will be in place this week.
Close Martin Luther King Drive between Gilbert Avenue and Reading Road at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17 until 5 a.m. Friday, March 18. Traffic will be detoured using Gilbert Avenue to Oak Street to Stanton Avenue to Oak Street to Reading Road.
Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers and all work depends on weather.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and road closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
