Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project
Update
Hamilton County (Friday, Oct. 12, 2018) - The first stage of
construction on the I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes pavement resurfacing, bridge deck
patching, and drainage improvements on west I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
Two lanes of I-74 traffic and all ramps will be maintained
throughout. Lanes will be narrowed and shifted through the work zone. Overnight single lane closures
should also be expected.
In order to prepare for the upcoming first traffic shift on west
I-74, the following restrictions will be in place:
Friday, Oct. 12 - Close the left lane of west I-74 between Spring Grove
Avenue and just north of southbound Beekman Street from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 for drainage work.
Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone
and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety
of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should
remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing
through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
