Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction project
update
Hamilton County (Monday,
Jan. 7, 2019) - The first stage of construction on the
I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes
pavement resurfacing, bridge deck patching, and drainage improvements on west
I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
The traffic switch that was scheduled
Saturday, Jan. 5 did not occur and will be rescheduled.
Monday,
Jan. 7 and Tuesday, Jan. 8:
- Various lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth
Street to Mitchell Avenue from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 9:
- Various lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth
Street to Mitchell Avenue and south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to I-74 from
8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Thursday,
Jan. 10 and Friday, Jan. 11:
- Various lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth
Street to Mitchell Avenue from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All
work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
